KLIA2

KLIA2 ~ The next Generation Hub

KLIA2 is the new airport in Malaysia that cater BUDGET AIRLINES
Airlines operating at KLIA2 include :
  • Air Asia
  • Air Asia X
  • Malindo Air
  • Lion Air
  • Cebu Pacific
  • Tiger Air
If you are flying with airlines NOT in the list above, your departure hall is at KLIA (the original international airport)

Why i am stressing this is because there are many passenger confused that all the airlines are now moved to KLIA2.
Passenger boarding MAS, Cathay Pacific, Kuwait Airlines arrive at KLIA2 departing hall for check-in. In the end they have to travel again to KLIA for their respective airline check-in.
This makes them frustrated!!
So people, please check the airlines you are flying with to prevent unnecessary hazard.

KLIA2 is connected to the GATEWAY shopping mall. (you won't realise is a different building as everything is connected and you don't have to cross any bridge)

Honestly i'm very surprise that there is a grocery shop inside an airport. I mean like who will buy grocery at the airport?
But to my surprise there is actually lots of passenger need it!
You can find local (cut/uncut) fruits, bread (gardenia which lots of people's asked), cereal, beer, baby's pampers..... just like a normal grocery store except they don't sell vege. haha...

The ARRIVAL PICKUP POINT is at the other end of the arrival hall. When u arrive, just WALK STRAIGHT TO THE END!!
Marrybrown is at gate 3 and Uncle K is at gate 2.

LEVEL 2M (Rest area, Food Area)
There is a huge open area for passenger to rest. If you are waiting for transit or ur flight is in the next n hours, u can sleep there. there is no chair provided, u can just lay on the carpeted floor to rest.
I really like this idea because we always need a place to rest and we are not insight of others. People like to camp in the airport! haha...

Food

  • Burger King
  • Texas Chicken
  • Nan Yang Food Garden (Chinese Cuisine)
  • La Bohas (vegetarian cuisine)

I guess lots of people need it after coming back from a tiring vacation or while waiting for next flight.

SMOKING AREA
ONE of the most asked question.
  • smoking room at LEVEL 1
  • at both end of Open area (green area) between the mall and the terminal at LEVEL 3

People, please remember where u pack your vehicles!! If you cannot remember please take a picture of your parking zone so u can find it again!!
so many people don't even remember where they park..
Please take note that there is Car park A and Car park B. It's not linked. If your do not remember, take a look at your parking ticket.

*another friendly reminder, the Malaysia Airport staff and the Mall staff is different.
If your loss ur luggage, need help about the departure/arrival, please refer to the Malaysia Airport staff. (they wear Orange headscarf, or blue polo shirt)
So don't get frustrated if u ask the mall staff about procedure or information related to airlines and they direct you to the Airport staff.

I guess you maybe wonder why am i sharing this info about the new KLIA2.
ASK ME
I am one of the usher/ passenger assistant (in white pants).
we were holding the "ASK ME" sign and stationed all around the airport/mall to assist passenger with direction.
i really enjoy working with all of the crew and especially the supervisor (holding the LOLLIPOP)!! the best supervisor ever!!

    1. Hi Fyqahika, Famous Store at KLIA2 is at Level 2.
The drop off door is at Level 3, so u have to take the escalator/ elevator down to level 2.
The store is just outside of Domestic Arrival Hall. KFC and Kluang Station is just nearby. =)

  3. Klia2 immigration service is too inefficient to mention. I'm a genuin tourist, visited thailand twice malaysia twice india twice n Nepal for once. But it's very sad and irresponsible action from from klia2 immigration operational main office that they the mother fuckers holded me last week for 4 days n sent me back home!!! They don't recognize who is the genuine tourist or who is not. It's really shame for those bloody stupids. I'm working at a MNC in dhaka.

    1. Hi Aamiit, i'm sorry for ur bad experience at KLIA2. it's a shame of the immigration office for being rude and unhelpful for the tourist. Hope everything turn out fine, and don't hate our country for the minor. Come back for a visit in future to discover our natural beauty.
