SALUTE TO PENANG GOVERNMENT!

YES! Finally a state that is consider quite a green state. I admire the brave, long-distance plan of the Penang government. As now, in selangor, we have no plastic day on every saturday, where as in Penang, is monday to wednesday which is 3days. But the plan did not jz stop there. Starting from 1st jan 2011, the No Plastic Day will b extended to everyday!! besides, not only supermarket and hypermarket took part in this campaign, department stores, pharmacies, petrol station, chain stores, every stores or shop will take part in this meaningful campaign. I think this will anger some shopper which doesn't like to use recycle bag. especially those who like to show off items they buy from branded stores, bringing around those big plastic bag. Some have the idea of using recycle bag is unfashion, old-people style, can't match with the attire of the day.... what kind of thinking is that?! Where does the plastic bag goes when we reach home? trash bin?!
I actually kinda like the no plastic bag day on saturday, because i can use the boxes provided by the supermarket to carry my groceries. Is so much more convenience that using plastic bag, jz put everything into the boxes and carry the boxes. Easy steps. My family had practice to bring recycle bag and tupperware to morning market and supermarket to reduce the usage of plastic. I believe in myself that the energy of 1person could change the world.

Oh, and an enviroment resource centre at Penang will produce EM mudballs and garbage enzyme and also nursery for trees. This is one of the way to clean the river, lakes and ocean where there are concentrated deposits of sludge and slime.

(this remind me of the day i had make the EM mudballs at tarc with michella. 1person r allow to made one with those material provided during the... erm.... forgot wat campaign. the person incharge say they will dump the mudball into river nearby tarc. I duno how many they had made during that few days campaign. This mudball really stink, it took me few hours of washing to get rid of the smell even though i wore gloves. After visiting the campaign, v buy a plant that is heard to have the power to prevent the mosquito from getting nearer, but not actually effective. Oh yes, there is the OneFM 一号奇兵 that we meet before we get back to hostel. 1st experience to play games and get some free gift from the fm group.)

I wonder, when can Klang have this campaign. because the Klang river is in critical stage and i'm nt sure if a million of mudballs can purify the water...

I like the idea of the Penang government '100 Steps of Cleanliness' where rubbish disposal facility will be placed at every 100 steps. This could bring convenience to people where they can throw their rubbish into the bin provided. I had saw some really lazy people where the rubbish bin is just few steps away, they don't bother to walk the few steps and jz dump it on the floor where they stood, even in supermarket. These are uncivilised people with conservative mind where they think the rubbish will decompose itself and return to the soil.

Another simple way to save the enviroment is to use less paper, use recycle paper if really needed. i like the brown recycle paper bag, i just duno why. i like the feeling of holding it. And i like the books that is made from recycle paper.
1st, the paper is yellowish brown, less light will b reflected, good for eyes.
2nd, the book is really light compare to the book made from white paper.
3rd, i like the smell of the books. i can't explain what the smell is like..
yea, so please publish more books from recycle paper. Do buy me a books for present than those unnecessary things. becuz i love to read and collect books. what a stupid collection.I have dream of my future house will have a small library with those giant rack and the moving ladder with all kinds of my favourite books.
